After a wait that seemed eternal, we finally had the first look at the Resident Evil 2 remake in E3 2018. Little by little more information begins to arrive, so now we know what the title resolution will be on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro.

Gaming Bolt asked Capcom if Resident Evil 2 will have different visual configurations for the Microsoft and Sony consoles. Given this situation, Mike Lunn, manager of the brand, said that the game will have an option to run in 4K with 30 fps on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro.

On PlayStation 4 Pro, Lunn did not clarify if the game will use the checkerboard technology to allow scaling from 2K to 4K, so we'll have to wait for more details. On Xbox One X, it is clear that Resident Evil 2 will run in 4K without problems. The only sure thing is that the speed of 30 fps will be stable.

Lunn also said that they will implement an option for Resident Evil 2 to have a speed of 60 fps, however, it did not say in what resolution this mode will be executed. Considering that this is a trend of developers, we can assume that in this mode the game will run in 1080p.

Finally, the frame rate per second and the resolution for the basic consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, remains to be determined so we will have to wait until a date close to the launch to get all the details.

Resident Evil 2 will debut on January 25 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
