Xbox One PUBG will receive the Miramar map next month

Console players can finally compete in the desert

On Saturday afternoon, as part of PAX East, Brendan Greene, director of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, revealed that the Miramar map will reach the Xbox One version sometime in May, however, the precise release date was not announced.

Miramar, sometimes known as the desert map, debuted on the PC version when PUBG Corp. released version 1.0 of the game in mid-December. This will be great news for the 5 million players who play PUBG on Xbox One since the console title only has the Erangel map because it continues in the Game Preview program.

During the event, deadmau5 appeared on the stage as a special guest. The DJ played PUBG, but he only got the 79th place, so he ran out of chicken dinner. Also present was Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, programming director of Xbox LIVE.

In related information, we must remember that PUBG has a limited 3-day event called Tequila Sunrise. Here, teams of 4 players participate in Miramar and only have shotguns and melee weapons to survive. To make matters worse, PUBG Corp. added a new mode called War Mode, available only in custom games.
