Ubisoft explains disappearance of Call of Juarez titles

Some games in the series left Steam without warning

A few weeks ago, the players were surprised to see that some Call of Juarez titles disappeared from Steam. Specifically, it was Call of Juarez: The Cartel and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, which were delisted from the platform.

Ubisoft was responsible for distributing both installments of the series, so today he spoke about the sudden disappearance of the games. According to the details, the license and distribution rights have returned to Techland, the study responsible for its development.

Game Informer contacted Ubisoft public relations managers. They confirmed that this is due to the elimination of Valve's platform titles. Fortunately, everything indicates that Techland is working to get them back to Steam soon.

"This is the reason why some Steam titles have recently been removed, but we understand that Techland is working to recover those games, so do not hesitate to contact Techland to learn more," said the Ubisoft representative.

According to the statements, everything indicates that Ubisoft does not plan to reacquire and distribute the games. So, his return to Steam, for now, depends completely on Techland. If among your plans was to acquire any of them, we recommend that you be patient, because surely in the next few days we will know more about it.

On the other hand, if Call of Juarez: The Cartel or Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is already among your digital collection, you should have no problems downloading them and enjoying them regardless of this situation.
