Meet Eastward , game inspired by Earthbound , Zelda and anime series

The indie title is the responsibility of the Stardew Valley distributor

Chucklefish, the distributor best known for being in charge of Stardew Valley, announced that it is supporting a new project. This is Eastward, indie developed by Pixpil that is inspired by classics such as Earthbound, The Legend of Zelda and some anime series of the 90s.

All the players who give Eastward a chance will take control of John, an excavator who led a quiet life until his path crossed like that of Sam, a young woman who was lost in an underground facility. So, our mission in Eastward will be to help Sam find an unknown place.

Keep in mind that the relationship between John and Sam will not only be important for the narrative since each of them will have an essential role in the puzzles that Eastward will face. For example, in the progress of this project, we see that there will be times when Sam will climb onto a platform and John will use his strength to push it and that his partner will reach an area that would otherwise be inaccessible.

If Eastward caught your attention it is important that you know that it is in development for PC and Mac and so far there are no plans to take it to consoles. The bad news is that it still does not have a launch window, but you can keep up to date with its development from your website.

What do you think about it? Will you give Eastward a chance when he debuts? Tell us in the comments.
