Blizzard does not consider bringing World of Warcraft to consoles

The company ruled out a possible port of Heroes of the Storm

While several of Blizzard's titles have reached consoles, everything indicates that the company has no plans to launch more ports soon. Given the success of genres such as the MMORPG or MOBA, there are those who hope to see World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm in such systems.

Blizzard is aware of the desire of his fans, so he spoke recently on the subject. During an interview with DualShockers, Daniel Stahl, producer of World of Warcraft, and Matt Villers, designer of Heroes of the Storm, were not very enthusiastic about the idea.

According to Stahl, bringing the MMO to consoles would require major changes, which Blizzard is not willing to carry out for now. The adjustments would imply that the game lost part of its essence, a risk that the company does not want to take.

"You know, World of Warcraft is really designed for PC, we would have to make so many different changes to turn it into a console game ... We really want to continue making World of Warcraft as it is now," said the creative.

As for Heroes of the Storm, Villers commented something very similar, as he said that the MOBA is designed for PC. "It would probably take a lot of changes for the gameplay to work on the console. There are no plans in that sense at this time, "confirmed the designer.

So, do not expect to see, at least soon, such games in consoles of the current generation. On the other hand, the company also recently ruled out the possibility of seeing Hearthstone in such systems.

In related news, World of Warcraft will receive in August Battle for Azeroth, its new expansion. This content will debut with a collectors edition.

On the other hand, Deckard Cain from Diablo will be in Heroes of the Storm. Also, remember that you can already play with FĂ©nix in the popular MOBA.
