Ubisoft opens new development studies in Ukraine and India

It will add 160 new employees to reinforce the Ghost Recon brand and AA games.

The good news continues for Ubisoft: after finally getting rid of Vivendi, the French publisher announces the opening of two new development studios, located respectively in Bombay (India) and Odesa (Ukraine).

The bombaití studio is located near the most prestigious educational centers in India and will house more than 100 people who will work with the Ubisoft employees who already work in the Pune studio. "Our goal is to contribute to the development of the video game ecosystem in India, working with the best universities and institutions," says Jean-Philippe Pieuchot, director of Ubisoft Pune and Mumbai. The new study will focus on the development of AA games and gaming operations as service and maintenance of online games.

On the other hand, the Odessa studio will help Ubisoft to expand its presence in Ukraine beyond Kiev, recruiting 60 new talents in the next two years. Your mission? Support the Ghost Recon series. "Ubisoft came to Kiev ten years ago, and since then has grown and worked on projects, but always had an interest in Odessa and this is our opportunity to show it by opening a studio," says Sebastian Delan, Ubisoft director for the Eastern European area.
