Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch will have tournament at E3 2018

Splatoon 2 will also star in its own championship at the video game fair.

Nintendo has announced that in the next E3 2018, which will take place in mid-June in the city of Los Angeles, there will be a tournament featuring the recently announced Super Smash Bros. of Nintendo Switch, as well as another championship dedicated to the successful Splatoon 2.

It will be on June 11 and 12 when "players of the highest level" will participate in the Super Smash Bros. Invitation 2018, while the winners of the tournaments from all over the world will compete in the Splatoon World Championship 2. Both events will be retransmitted indirect through the YouTube and Twitch channels of Nintendo.

Those from Kyoto point out that these events will be just "one of the many activities" that Nintendo has planned for E3, which this year will be held on June 12 and 14. The Japanese company will offer more concrete details "later".

The European Championship of Splatoon that will decide the team that will represent the old continent in the tournament of Splatoon 2 will take place on March 31 in the Swiss city of Montreaux, where they will face 16 teams for the four places of the last phase. These matches will also be broadcast through the Nintendo channels.
