Kojima shares a new image of Guillermo del Toro in Death Stranding

The creative congratulated the Mexican director for taking the Oscar to Best Director and Best Film

Last night, Guillermo del Toro won the awards for Best Director and Best Film for The Shape of Water in the 90th edition of the Oscar Awards presented by the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences. As you can imagine, this news made Hideo Kojima, an inveterate film fan, and friend of Guillermo del Toro, happy, so he decided to celebrate in the best way: sharing a new image of the Mexican director in Death Stranding, his project in development.

The image released by Kojima shows us the character played by del Toro in a much less dark location than we had before. Something that caught our attention is that the scar that the character has on his forehead can be seen in greater detail. Apart from that, the image shows the Mexican director in a pose in which we had seen him before, that is, looking forward and holding a kind of incubator with his two hands.

It is important to note that it is a mystery if this image corresponds to a moment of Death Stranding or if it is something that Kojima prepared simply with the intention of congratulating his friend. That said, it is still interesting to take a closer look at the character model of Guillermo del Toro. Next, we present the image:

What did you think? Did you notice any detail in the image that we did not? Tell us in the comments.

We take advantage of what we talk about Death Stranding to tell you that it is already playable and its gameplay is in the internal test phase. On the other hand, Kojima said that this year there will be an announcement related to Death Stranding that will surprise us, what will it be about? To finish, we inform you that the creator made it clear that death in Death Stranding will be different than it is in other games.

Death Stranding is in development for PlayStation 4 and does not yet have a launch window.
