Fans work on their own System Shock remake

Citadel is developing on Unity 5 and plans to release a beta by the end of 2018.

If knowing that the remake of System Shock is delayed to 2020 was a hard blow for you, you may be glad to know that a group of fans work on their own remake of this classic developed by the legendary Looking Glass team. The project responds to the name of Citadel.

Under the orders of JosiahJack, Citadel is being built on the tools of the Unity 5 Engine and the project is already at 80% of its development. The intention is to release a beta on September 22 of this year after several years of work. In these moments, affirms its creator, the team needs to finish the work linked to the enemies (it is currently at 50 percent), the weapons, position the rivals in the scenarios and correct some errors among other things.

The team behind Citadel has shared a short video gameplay that lets you see how this remake of the classic System Shock looks like.
