Cities: Skylines will receive free DLC for its 3rd anniversary

The title already sold more than 5 million copies on PC

Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive prepare something special for the entire Cities community: Skylines. The title was originally released in PC on March 10, 2015, so that its 3rd anniversary will be held soon.

The companies revealed that the construction game already sold more than 5 million units in PC. To celebrate the achievements of Cities: Skylines, the studios will release some additional free content for the game. Specifically, it is thematic DLC of Surviving Mars, title of the same genre that will also be distributed by Paradox.

Colossal Order stated that Cities: Skylines has received more than 1000 new features since its arrival on PC. He also highlighted the work of the gaming community, since there are currently more than 144,000 mods in Steam Workshop.

According to the details, the new free content will be available starting tomorrow, March 9. It will include the Rocket City building called ChirpX Launcher, astronaut-themed items, as well as a Mars radio station. Next, you can see what some of the aggregates will look like:

Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive ensured that the game's sales are even greater, since Cities: Skylines is already available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The companies did not make clear whether the free content will arrive tomorrow on all platforms or only to PC.

Finally, the developers announced a special promotion for those interested in Surviving Mars. Players with Cities: Skylines in their Steam bookstore can obtain the new special construction title with a 10% discount.
