Games News - Nation Wars V from StarCraft II will start in March

The Blizzard tournament will have a $ 50,000 USD bag

Blizzard confirmed the dates for the start of Nation Wars V, an international StarCraft II tournament . If you are a follower of this esports scene or interested in participating, you should know that the records are already open.

If you want to be part of the tournament, take into account that only Grand Master level players can participate. If you meet this requirement, just fill out a short form on this page .

Those interested can send their request until next February 27. Subsequently, the players and the entire StarCraft II community will vote to elect the participants. The competition will have 32 teams, each consisting of the 3 best players in a given country.

Said ballots will begin on February 27 and end on March 11, when the representatives of each participating country will be confirmed. Nation Wars V will officially start on March 21 with a round that will face all 32 teams.




The tournament will be broadcast on the Nation Wars page , as well as on Twitch . The games will be played in all-kill format, where the winner continues to play until he loses. To beat a team it will be necessary to finish with its 3 players.

The round of 32 squads will conclude on March 24. The next stage, already with 16 teams, will take place from March 27 to April 1. Subsequently, other games will be played from 3 to 6 of the same month. The round of 8 teams will be played from 7 to 8 April.

The semifinals and the grand final will be played on April 21 at the Play Paris Powered By PAX event in France. The winners will take a prize bag of $ 50,000 USD, raised with the War Chest.
